In 1982, Bishop Forster established the first Apostolic church in Plantersville, MS. Humble beginnings saw the congregation gathering in a rented house on Richmond Road, where the church was named Solid Rock Pentecostal Church Inc. Through Bishop Forster’s leadership and vision, land was secured at 2916 Hwy 6, and a dedicated church building was constructed.
In 1990, the church joined the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International Inc., further strengthening its spiritual foundation. A decade later, in 2000, the church was reorganized and renamed The Rock Pentecostal Apostolic Church Inc.
Tragedy struck in March 2011 when the original church building was lost to a fire. Yet even before the fire, Bishop Forster had been led to a new vision—he had already purchased land within the Plantersville city limits at 2406 Main Street, believing that the church belonged at the heart of the community. Today, we are blessed to worship at this very location, continuing the mission set forth decades ago.
The legacy of Bishop and Mother Forster lives on in every service, every outreach, and every heart transformed. Their unwavering faith, tireless dedication, and love for people shaped the very foundation of our church. We honor their memory by walking in the path they paved—serving our community, growing in faith, and standing firm on the Rock.
